Overview
Mains power supply with backup. An AC-DC module feeds the output and charges two 18650 cells; when mains fails, a power multiplexer switches seamlessly to the battery, boosted by a high-current converter.
Design challenges solved
- High-voltage (IEC inlet) and low-voltage separation on the PCB, with fuses.
- Automatic mains/battery switchover with a TPS2121.
