Overview

Compact driver for brushless motors. An STM32F405 runs field-oriented control (FOC) on an integrated three-phase stage, reads position from a magnetic encoder and is configured over USB.

Design challenges solved

  1. Three-phase stage and MCU on 4 layers with separated current return paths.
  2. 14-bit magnetic encoder for the position loop.
