Overview

Instrumentation unit with a display and banana-jack terminals. A DDS generator and programmable switched-capacitor filters create and process signals; high-speed and variable-gain amplifiers form the analog chain, with a galvanically isolated section for the user-facing side.

Design challenges solved

1. Full analog chain: DDS, programmable filters, VGA and 20+ op-amps.
2. Power isolation (isolated DC-DC) and signal isolation (IL300 linear optocoupler).
3. Low-noise ± rails with dedicated LDOs for the analog section.
